I am also a huge movie buff, I love anything thats funny, action packed or just interests me. My favorite movies of all time is Wedding Crashers, Old School, Step Brothers, Eurotrip, Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby, The Hangover, any movie like those that I have listed. I also like the new Dukes of Hazzard movie, 21, and also Gran Terrino. The old movies that I like were any old time western movies especially John Wayne movies. Will Farrell is probably my favorite current actor or any comedian like that. I also liked the movies Shang Hi Noon and Nights, Austin Powers series, Liar Liar, Ace Ventura series, anything that makes me laugh really gets added to my list. The newer age movies though, interest me the most because they are more realistic because of the new technology and its the era of technology. The most recent movie that I saw was The Hangover It is defenitely on the top of my list now. I did not stop laughing the entire time. Most the movies on my top list I know all the words to and can do an impersination of everyone in the movie. I will watch the movie over and over again. A good movie last in your memory for a long long time.

Blogging
July 2, 2009Blogging in this class is the first time I have really blogged. If you think about it though I guess facebook and myspace is blogging in a way. I have enjoyed blogging about somethings but others have just been annoying. All together though it has been alright if i just got a grade for only blogging then I would defenitely enjoy it and would take my time with the blogs. I have learned that it is a great way to share your opinion on things. I have never blogged about things really I think it just takes to much times. Since taking this class I have enjoyed blogging for a grade I wish my english teachers in high school had made me blog. I have liked blogging but I am really not the kind of person that would sit at home and blog on the internet. I would much rather be doing something active or just outside not at home. This is a generation that is always on the computer, cell phone, or video games so I gues I am less outdoorsies than I was when I was younger, so mabye later in life I will be someone that blogs all the time but right now I do not try to sit inside all the time. So when this class end I will probably not be blogging all the time but when you consider Facebook or Myspace a blog I will blog sometimes but try not to all the time.
Sing, Sing a Song
July 2, 2009I do sing but thats just because I get in the moment I guess and also I like to annoy my girlfriend by seeing completely awful. When I was younger I think that I expressed my ideas in all sorts of ways; like building things and playing sports and outside really made me creative I think. I always knew I was not a good drawer so I never really drew much. My neighbors and I use to build forts and ramps and all sorts of things like that. We would build atleast one fort each summer until the zoning people would take it down or it would get destroyed or something. Daily we would build ramps to skateboard off of, bike off of, skooter off of, and inline skate off of them. Looking back on those days right now I wish I was still doing those things, we had so much fun and made so many memories. The last time I built a fort or anything like that was probably when I was 13-15 Im really not sure it probably was more 15 because of everyones age in my neighborhood they all started driving and had to get jobs. The reason know one still does these things is because we are all in college and have jobs, different lives, and different friends. I really miss theses days who knows if I win the lottery then I will defenitely building things to launch stuff off of.
Stress Relief
July 1, 2009When I get really stressed I tend to just deal with the stress it kind of motivates me to do everything but sometimes when Im stressed and I have a lot to do I like to go work out it makes me release stress. I use to go work out all the time during school and especially Id go before I had to study for my tests it just relaxes me and makes me feel so stress free. Also when I do my hw I like to do half and then work out and finish the rest if buys me time to think and relax. I am not the only person that uses this techinique, I have a coach at my school that does the same thing as me and also have friends that do this. When you lift i think it makes you in control and you can mental push yourself in making you feel better. The one thing that does not make me release my stress is talking about it. I really do not like to talk about anything i would rather keep things inside of me and not make other people have to listen to my problems. I think that many people release their stress in many different ways it is just who you are. One way to relieve stress to someone might not work for another person, but working out is the best way I know how to release my stress.
Assessing Myself
June 29, 2009I think that since I am taking a summer Class and it only lasts a month that I haven’t changed that much, but if I had to say something that i have improved on is doing things with out being reminded.I have been in private schools my whole life and have been always reminded to do my work and turn it in. When I took a class at Richland I think it helped me mature because I am not constantly reminded to do my work and turn it in. I have to learn how to prioritize my school work with everything else going on. This also has prepared me for Texas Tech in the fall, it shows how I have to prioritize my things and get my ass doing my work with out having to have someone telling me to do it constantly. I need to improve on not doing things at the last minute. Like this blog and all the papers now I have know free time this week because Im taking to classes right now and have to do all the work that is due this week. Which really sucks but it is 4th of july weekend so as long as I have that weekend off id work my butt of for a whole month.
Enlarging the World
June 29, 2009http://www.doubletnation.com/2009/6/2/893407/five-things-replacing-michael
I am a huge Texas Tech Fan and thats what I have chosen to do a blog about. Everyone says that Tech next year will not be able to go 11-1 again with out Graham Harrell and Micheal Crabtree. This is true that they where a huge reason why Tech did so good, but also you have to look at the other kids that played last year. Morris, Lewis and Britton are all coming back next year and yet they may not be as good as Micheal Crabtree but they are all healthy and where in the top 4 recievers for Tech last year. Also you have to remeber how although Micheal Crabtree did score all the time he was also hurt most of the season with an ankle injury which effected a lot of his games towards the end of the season. Also not having Bach and Woods is said to have a huge effect on the running game because they were the two running backs but its not like Tech runs the football all the time Mike Leach is a master mind with the passing game and uses that to his advantage. Replacing Graham Harrell is going to take a while but Potts will be able to do it he was an all-state quarterback in high school and is an amazing looking athlete with a build of 6’5. I think with a little practice and time in the pocket Potts will be just as good as Harrell has been.
Connecting
June 29, 2009I chose Christians Blog about A Defining Moment because I can kind of relate in the whole school thing. Ive always gone to a private school, I left a school that I had been at for 7 years because it was academically challenging and because I had some disagreements with some teachers and the head of the middle school department. My parents decided it would be best if I left and went to another school for 8th grade so I could go to a good private high school, mainly Jesuit. When I went to St. Paul for my 8th grade year I did well in school except for English which I have always struggled in. My English grade was to low to get into Jesuit and I was told I could go some where else and get my grade up and transfer. So I chose to go to Bishop Lynch High School, and i am glad I chose to go to Bishop Lynch. My goal my freshman year was to do well and transfer but as I got more into my Freshman year I really liked Bishop Lynch, so I decided to stay. This is my defing moment in my life I think. Even though I did not end up at the school I had always wanted to go to in the end. I think I made the best decision by staying at Bishop Lynch. So I think Christian and I had a similiar defing moment as Christian.
Great Films
June 29, 2009I was born in 1990 so I had to watch the movie Dances With Wolves. I had never seen this movie before just because it sounds boring and when my dad use to watch it id rather be outside. I can remeber my dad sitting infront of the TV Saturday or Sunday Mornings and watching Dances With Wolves. It never really appealed to me as a good movie but now that I have seen it i thought it was an ok movie. I thought it was cool how he was a war hero by accident and how he becomes intouch with the natives and nature. It really shows how different the Indians and the White People live separate lifes and different believes. Lt. John Dunbar starts to become intouch with nature and stops living the typical “white people” life and starts to live like the idians do. He is accepted into the tribe very quickly, which is not very usual for an indian tribe to do to a white person in that time in day. In the end of the movie Lt. John Dunbar must make a decision that will not effect his future, but the future of the Indians.
